when did jordan make his first shoe

Jordan's first shoe was the Air Jordan 1. He made it for his son Michael. He wanted to make an all black shoe with a red tongue and blue goo on it for him for Christmas in 1985. So, he took the design and sent it to Nike and they said they would make like 5000 pairs because no one thought it was going to sell well.

On December 14, 1985, Jordan first wore No. 45 for the Chicago Bulls and became one of the NBA's most dominant players. He went on to win six NBA championships with the Bulls before moving to Washington Wizards in 2004. Despite playing only 12 seasons of basketball, he is regarded as one of the best basketball players ever by sporting journalists such as ESPN's Marc Stein and Bill Simmons.

The researchers were able to identify the shoe’s design because they found evidence of a number of large wooden pegs which had been used to weave small pieces of wood into the fabric. This shoe is one of only few known examples from this period in Egypt, where footwear is often made out of leather, not linen.

Jordan shoes company had humble beginnings back in 1984, when Nike tasked 23-year-old Oregonian designer Tinker Hatfield with creating a new basketball shoe with broad appeal for the 1984 Olympics Games. Hatfield's design had an elephant print inspired by his time living near the headquarters of the Hanna-Barbera animation studios; he named it after Michael Jordan who was on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" magazine and had just won his first NBA Championship with Chicago Bulls.

The world's most expensive shoe is a creation of Nike, especially designed for basketball player Michael Jordan. It was released in 1985 and is called the "Air Jordan 1 sneaker". The shoe became emblematic of his career, with its design immortalised by cartoons and graffiti. -His first shoe to ever be produced and released was the Nike Air Ship in 1981. It is not considered a commercial release, however.

-The Nike Air Ship model is one of very few shoes that Michael Jordan actually designed himself, but it never went into production. The prototype model is now stored at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History as part of an exhibit on Michael Jordan's career. Jordan began making shoes when he was eight years old. He started with a single shoe as a present for his dad. His first name, Jordan, comes from the gaelic word for "fine", "grand", or "beautiful".
